Fun in the rain

Kristin and John came down from Denver to shoot their engagement session for their October wedding. Even though we had rain to deal with, the shots came out great. It helps to have willing participants.

We walked around downtown Colorado Springs and found some great places to shoot. We even found a tandem bike parked outside just begging to be used as a prop.

Block Scholars

Tonight we had the opportunity to do some promotional shots for a local rap group, Block Scholars, who recently signed with Cashbox Records, Inc.

I'm listening to some of their tracks right now and it's nice!!!

Fall Session

Today we headed back to Garden of the Gods to do a photo shoot with Gita.  This place is fast becoming one of my favorites due to the number of great locations to shoot.  I've posted a few favorites.  

We had a pretty good time this afternoon and Gita was a perfect model.  She even had several car loads of tourists stopping to watch her session.

Senior Session

I spent the afternoon yesterday with Mitchell, a senior from Doherty High School, to take his senior pictures.  We took a few shots at Garden of the Gods before heading downtown to take some "urban" shots.  Mitch was great to work with and we had a great time as his mom looked on.  

Once downtown we were able to get that urban feel that Mitch was looking for.

The number eight is considered to be a very lucky number in the Chinese culture.  The combination of 8-8-08 was termed the "Luckiest Day."  I had a great opportunity last weekend to shoot a wedding for Amy & Andy last Friday.  The wedding was held at the Arvada Center, in Arvada Colorado.  Based on the number of receptions scheduled, I can attest to the popularity of the date.  

Amy looked great in her wedding dress.  Andy looked sharp in his suit.  We took advantage of the weather and took our photos beforehand.  The ceremony went well and right after, Amy surprised Andy with a carriage ride.

Jen and Todd's wedding

We did Jen and Todd's wedding last Saturday.  The wedding and reception were held at Secret Garden in Colorado Springs.  It was a perfect day for a wedding.  Jen was attended by her older sister and Todd was accompanied by his son Marcel.

Jen was stunning in her wedding dress and Todd was too cool in his old school shoes.  

The entertainment was provided by Shades of Soul.  They had the place rocking and everyone had a great time.  

The party moved to Overtime and everyone had fun well into the evening.
